Help & Installation Guide

Help

As all the Witch Pig FX, Utilities, and Instruments are free, no official support is provided.
And not everything will be tested on every single DAW for every version, as this would would be far too expensive, time consuming, and boring!

Installing FX Plugins

After subscribing, the download button for each plugin will be enabled. This will then go through to a dropbox link from where you can download the required files. You may see a popup box from Dropbox asking you to register with Dropbox but you don't need to this - simply close the popup by clicking on the cross in the top right corner, and then click on Download.
If you are using a PC, you simply need to copy the VST3 file at the top level into a folder that your DAW is configured to read (in Reaper, go to Preferences -> Plugins --> VST, and check the plugin-paths).
If you are using a Mac, they make it more diffult to use free independent software. If you have issues with your Mac not validating free Mac OS plugins, then this is because Apple can block them if the developers don't pay for them to be listed. This isn't viable for free plugins from small developers. However, it is possible to get around this, with some simple steps. To see how to solve this issue go to:
Forcing the validation of Audio Unit Plugins in Logic in OS X 10.10 to 10.15
PlugDeQuar Introduction and Demo
Force validate all plugins in Logic Pro X (Big sur ,Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma)

Installing Kontakt Instruments

For the free Kontakt instruments, for all but one I have opted to host these on the free Pianobook server. You will need to register with Pianobook but then this will allow you to download a huge number of free sample based instruments.
Feel free to follow me on Pianobook and leave a glowing review!
You will need the full version of Kontakt (after 6.2) for these instruments but if you want to try them out, they will run in demo mode for 15 minutes, at a time, in the free Kontakt Player (see the tutorials section for videos on how to work around this).
The reason that they are not listed for Kontakt Player is because the developer has to pay Native Instruments a lot of money for this!
